Athens Airport
Cabo Verde Hotel is located near by the Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos Airport of Athens). Travelling time to and from the Athens Airport is about 20 min.
From Athens International Airport you may:
- Take a taxi to come to Cabo Verde Hotel. This should take you 20 min and cost you around 35 euros.
- Take the bus to Rafina and then take a taxi to Cabo Verde Hotel. This should take you 38 min and cost you around 20 euros
- Hire a car at the Athens Airport and drive to Cabo Verde Hotel. You should exit the Airport through the North Gate where you should turn left. Then turn to the right through the next 2 sets of traffic lights into MARATHON AVE. towards Marathon and Rafina. Pass straight at the Rafina junction for 2,5km and turn right towards MATI for 300 meters. At the sea you will see CABO VERDE Hotel (Attica, Greece – 41 POSIDONOS AVE) on your right. This should take you 20 min and cost 2,80 euros on tolls.
Rafina Port
Rafina (Attica, Greece) is a small port near-by Cabo Verde Hotel, serving the island of Evia, Cyclades islands (Andros, Tinos, Syros, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos) and other Aegean Sea islands. Rafina port is ideal for day or short ferry cruises to many world renowned Greek destinations, making the hotel an ideal base, thanks to its proximity to Rafina port (5 minutes away).
From Rafina Port to Cabo Verde Hotel near by, you may:
- Take a taxi from Rafina Port to Cabo Verde Hotel. This should take less than 5 minutes and cost you around 10 euros.
- Hire a car at Rafina Port and drive to Cabo Verde Hotel. In that case you may take the beach road to the north of Rafina all the way to Mati. 4 km later you will find Cabo Verde Hotel on your right.
Town of Rafina (4 km)
The town of Rafina was built around the port. Place not to be missed, as one may find there some of the best fish tavernas of the area.
Nea Makri
Undoubtedly, the heart of the area: Nea Makri, Attica is a typical small sea side town of Greece, with a modern market, a nice sea front walking area filled with trendy cafés, gelaterias, fish Tavernas and restaurants overlooking the island of Evia – all that just 4 km away from Cabo Verde hotel.
Nea Makri, Attica is very well known for its night life, with several night clubs literally located in the beach.
During the day, our hotel guests may enjoy its beautiful sandy beach, which has been awarded the European blue flag for five years in a row!
Hotel guests arriving by the sea may use the Nea Makri Yacht Marina to moor.
Marathon Battle Site
Located 15 minutes to the north, one may visit the burial site of the 192 Athenians who dies in the historical battle of Marathon between the Greeks and the Persians in 490 BC.
